June 08, Poacher had Laminitis. Even though he came sound very quickly he was put on box rest for 6 months. I was allowed to get on him again on 1st December 08 and then only walk to see if he would remain sound. January 1st I was allowed to trot and canter but with the bad weather it was impossible to continue outside or even get the lorry off the land. We won both our Prelim and Novice Test Classes at Waylands in March and went through to the final but weren't placed. We were delighted just to get there.

Tigger's first in-hand debut was 25th May 09 at Lavant House Show where he was placed second in his class and then took the Reserve Mountain and Moorland Championship.
Tig, came over from Ireland in September 2007. He has plenty of substance, depth of body, flat bone, short canon bones and tremendous length of rein, a 'true' pony.

We turned him away in 2007/8 to let him settle in and mature, then we started to lunge and back him in September 2008.

I don't believe in pushing youngsters I like to allow them to develop in an unhurried and relaxed environment. Work is continuing under saddle.
